• Active in the field of alcoholism, addiction, and treatment for more than 20 years
• Founder and Director of Larry Fritzlan Recovery Services, serving families of Marin and San Francisco Counties
• Experience includes four years at Ohlhoff Recovery Programs' Adolescent Treatment Program in San Rafael, and providing onsite training to Community Institute for Psychotherapy, Family Service Agency of Marin, and Novato Youth Services
• Adjunct professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, as well as a local lecturer at educational institutions and professional associations

• In private practice since 1983 in the San Francisco Bay Area, California
• Specializes in working with eating disordered families, and with male and female adolescents and adults recovering from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and related addictive disorders
• Developed in-person and phone-based program for Mothers of Daughters with Eating Disorders
• Author of the book Dying to Please: Anorexia, Treatment and Recovery (McFarland 2009) and of the chapter "Back Through the Looking Glass" in the book Women Who Have Freed Themselves from Food and Weight Obsession (Gurze Books, 1993).
• Recipient of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists' Clark Vincent Award for Literary Contribution to the Profession of Marriage and Family Therapy, 1988
